The person on the right is Ben Dijkstra, my fraternities president. I think he would make an awesome documentary subject because of all the "behind the scenes" garbage he puts up with or fixes in order to keep our fraternity running smoothly and efficiently.

This character is Matt Zakrowski, my fraternity big brother. He is hands down one of the wittiest and funny people I have met in a long time, and he is also what some might consider a fantasy football god. He always has something funny or smart to say and I think anytime spent around him with a camera rolling would produce gold.

This (obviously an old picture) is my great grandpa Curly who is a WWII veteran. Last week he was accepted to take an "Honorary Flight" to Washington D.C. with other World War II vets, and today is the day he left. This is from the post his church made today about the trip: "Today Loren "Curly" Wilson is having, as he says, "one of the best days of my life!" He is in Washington, D.C. being honored for his service to our country in WWII. We are so happy he was able to make this trip of a lifetime. We celebrate his productive, faithful and happy life, and honor him for his service in such perilous times. Our prayers are with you today, Curly. Thank you!" My grandpa has always been a hero of mine and to ask him about his life and various things he's been through including the war would make for an awesome doc

Depth of Field

This photo has a very shallow depth of field. The focus is all on the chicken and the coffee cup right in front of the lens, while everything in the background is drowned out. This depth of field aids the composition in the way that all the attention is drawn to the foreground and your eye wants to look at the chicken, instead of what is happening behind it.

The camera's highest resolution is 1080p, it uses progressive scanning and the recording format is .mov. It does not come with a lens, so the consumer would choose whatever lens they thought would fit their requirements for a particular shoot.

Brainstorming Post 6

Last spring break I took a trip with my (ex haha)girlfriend to Mammoth National Cave and spent the week doing "touristy" things and staying in a half star motel. While the details are really unglamorous, I hold this trip as one of the most memorable and fun things I've ever done. I think it would be fun to pick one of the songs that stands out to me from the road trip playlist I made, and make a fast motion "music video" out of home video of us during the trip. While I don't have actual footage, I could do the trip over again by myself or with a friend and actually get the footage and convey the same experience, even though it's not the original trip.

Brainstorming Post 5

A short PSA promoting what my fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, does not only as a local chapter, but our national fraternity. It would be a great way to promote what we do and the impact we have on local organizations, our schools clubs and organizations, and other national organizations we work with, such as The Red Cross.

Brainstorm Post 4

I recently joined a fantasy football league with my fraternity brothers, and it's a whole new breed of friendship comedy. The things that are said and done to get under the skin of our opponents are so inappropriate yet, oddly funny, that I think anyone who doesn't understand the rivalries created within a fantasy football league need to see firsthand to understand. I think a short 3-4 minute comedy bit about 12 friends hanging out on a sunday gameday, tracking their fantasy points and smack talking each other would be super funny, especially if it was a satirical representation of how we treat each other, and we took it one step further until finally someone takes it too far and someone ends up fighting.

Brainstorming Post 3

I have played in bands since I was 16 years old and music is a huge part of my life. Something that has always been close to my heart is the basement hardcore scene. Basically a community of homeowners who throw shows in their basements. Generally anywhere from 25-100 kids will pack into these basements to see their favorite touring hardcore/punk bands, and the energy at these shows is unreal. I think it would be super informative and interesting to create a documentary showcasing these shows, the kids who attend them, and the bands who play them. The scene is built on community and a relationship built on a common love for hardcore/punk music and it's something very dear to my heart.
